1174928 2011-02-03 04:06:00 Hi all

just a warning to anyone looking to do dealings with computer broker (i think thats the name they are going with now)

Stay as far away from them as possible they are the single worse computer store ive been to in christchurch .

I had a computer serviced in there to get a new video card . One of the techies sold me a video card threw his Cousin 2nd hand . Went and bought that took that back to computer broker had that put in took it home tryed it out didnt work at all .

I tryed to go back they said it was the power supply so i got that replaced . Got the computer back again and the old power supply, i then tested the power supply when i got home the old power supply worked and the video card that i got from one of the employees of computer broker didnt .

When I tryed to go back i think his name was murray or something told me pretty much told me tough **** kicked me out of the shop and ripped me off 170 dollars and got screwed with one of the employees cousins .

So to all that are looking for a good computer shop to go to go to dragonpc or PCU there business ethics are way better then dirty old computer broker

whatever you do dont go to computer broker it has to be the single most terrible computer service shop in all of christchurch

Dragon PC have a bad reputation for honouring warranties. (geez, funny how that keeps popping up everywhere)

And you bought a used GPU, how is that the shops fault?

1174930 2011-02-03 04:42:00 Your right it isnt there fault but telling me to **** off and there terrible business ethics is honestly. Dont shop at computer broker they are just terrible

and i guess its ok for techies to tell there customers ok dont buy anything from our shop go out and buy something from my cousin that doesnt work and isnt even on any kind of warrenty and then we can install it onto your computer just so you waste a crap load of money and more time just so my cousin gets the money and u dont get anything at all not even a warrenty

your right it isnt there fault at all not one single bit

thought they were professionals i was wrong now i know they just like selling things to there cousins

1174931 2011-02-03 05:06:00 I agree with Kingbill

Never buy from computer broker. Their customer service is as bad as their products. My 22 inch monitor went blank and sometimes the Monitor Menu kept popping up by itself disrupting my work.
when I contacted the computer broker customer service they said " Take it to a nearest technician". They would not follow up on this at all and in the end became very rude about it.

1174933 2011-02-03 05:18:00 lol afraid not but i still feel sorry for him/her but as far as this post goes this is just a warning i think they are a rubbish company and this is just a warning thats as far as i take it beyond that i tell everyone buying a computer to avoid them and all my friends at polytech kingbill40 (16214)
1174934 2011-02-03 05:32:00 Buying second hand computer components is always a bit of a gamble.
Thats why I dont really want to sell second hand stuff.

But that said, when I have, and other places should as well, if there is a problem right away, it should be fixed one way or another. Not telling the customer to bugger off.

Any second hand components should be tested and in working order when sold.

1174936 2011-02-03 06:35:00 i completely agree but unfortunately they lost a customer when this happened so ya all i can say is in my opinion stay away from them and pay extra to get first hand goods from a supplier that works for you ive never had a problem with dragonpc i think they are good and they supply stuff that is a little cheaper then the rest of them havent had a problem with there warrenties so far but i cant speak for everyone kingbill40 (16214)
1174937 2011-02-03 06:35:00 should be 3 months warranty. my brief encounter they reimage and test it. occasional when the case was loose they got exchanges or refunds. thou they were dodgy they say yes to things they know they do have but say not sure to things they know it doesn't have lol.

i gather better on trademe for new stuff. u
could get a ex lease dell for fifty bucks working with windows license.
