| 1208860 | 2011-06-13 06:15:00 | You need to give it a key if you want to make it secure. And put the same key / password in the router. First, you'll need a USB adapter / PCI wireless card (and obviously the drivers) | Speedy Gonzales (78) | ||
| 1208861 | 2011-06-13 06:17:00 | By default, the router/modem should have the security enabled . The last few I have seen from telecom, have a sticker on the botom of the router, that will say what the wireless password is . To be more precise, what model Thomson is it - that will be on the underside of the modem/router . ? |

| 1208863 | 2011-06-13 06:26:00 | If it's the same model Thomson I have then just push the grey button on the front and it won't be broadcasting wireless as it won't be on. | Snorkbox (15764) | ||
| 1208864 | 2011-06-13 06:43:00 | Just found "A" manual for the thomson ( TG787v) from Here its a PDF (www.google.co.nz Fdocumentation%2FTG787v%2FR74X%2FSetupUserGuide%2F PDF%2FTG787v_SetupUserGuide_en.pdf&ei=XJ_1TdvSHoOisQOV8fDFCw&usg=AFQjCNGOlTq46BsoOS2g1CI8u0n3Guo1hw)-- Dont know if its the same as you have, but the setting should be close enough to the same. Open a command prompt, type in ipconfig look for the gateway, it may be 192.168.1.254 Open a browser, type in that address Eg: http://192.168.1.254 <press enter> enter in the user name and password, ( could be admin / Admin) Once you are in the interface, look for home network, or as the pic below says, Office network. Follow the instructions as per the Attached Picture, which is a screen shot of the manual (pdf) above. If you dont use or need the wireless, disable it. |
