1176325 2011-02-08 19:04:00 Last night I tried to scan in a picture and the scanner would not scan the picture. The light wasn't coming on I could tell.

However, it went through all the motions as if it were scanning (but it was a bit loud plus it has been making a grinding noise as it scans across the flat panel.

It had previously worked fine even though it was always noisy.........but it seemed to be much more louder this time.

I uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers but that didn't change a thing. It still does not scan anything in.........but it acts as if it's working.

Can someone advise please? Can the light bulb be changed? I suspect that may be the problem.

P.S. I'm using it on a PC running Windows XP Home Edition.

1176326 2011-02-08 20:54:00 Normally you install the drivers (dont plug it in yet), till it asks you to plug it in. Did you try this? This is usually the case, for scanners and printers Speedy Gonzales (78)

Scanners are another of those things that are uneconomic to repair
Sorry, but buy a new one.
