1177140 2011-02-12 04:55:00 It's a tricky question J, I think we are in agreement on most, apart from you not loving my favourite people.

Rodney Hide, Michael Laws, Roger Douglas, Roger Kerr etc etc).

Oh well, it is a miracle we are in agreement on anything Cicero, but for me to love your favourite people would qualify as a miracle worthy of canonisation, and neither of us believe in that, do we?

1177141 2011-02-12 05:28:00 Err, nope.

Err, Yes.

Have you any idea how many different religions there are? They can't all be right, so in the final analysis it will be the last one standing that wins the big prize, or gets horribly disappointed.

Many of the larger groups subscribe to the same broad principles, but there's a huge list of
religions and belief structures out there. ( en.wikipedia.org)

They all have three things in common though:

1: Theirs is the one true faith.

2: You have to be dead to pick up your prize.

3: No guarantees, warranties or any other means of recourse apply.

Even worshipping the almighty dollar is bound by the same rules: You can't take it with you.

I guess that makes Capitalism a religion for the masses, and Communism (as practiced in North Korea) a religion for the annointed ones.

Cheers

A mystery to me is the left thinking and right thinking never the twain shall meet, I have a feeling Billy can help out here.

I know brothers and sister who are at opposite ends and have the most outrageous rows.

1177144 2011-02-12 06:26:00 I'm not going to heaven. Most of my real mates won't be there either. Snorkbox (15764)
1177145 2011-02-12 07:06:00 I'd be gutted to wake up in heaven

Christians are bad enough here, **** being surrounded by them in their smugness for eternity.

Personally I'm pretty sure when you're dead.....you're dead. No fairy tales needed.

So lead a good life, and tell the people you love that you love them.Die content....and in massive debt.

Oh well, snap . My sister has been a JW for 40 or more years, and I am an atheist . We just think we are both too important to each other to row about it . She is upset she won't see me on the other side, but accepts it is my choice .

Personally, when I see what they portray in their literature as those who will reach heaven, my wife and I both think we wouldn't want to be in their company anyway . Actually, none of them looked like your mates Rodney Hide, Michael Laws, Roger Douglas, Roger Kerr etc etc the last time I opened a Watchtower, so I guess they aren't in the 144,000 chosen ones either . All the pix in Watchtower were of young fit American looking peeps with blonde hair . Apparently there is no sex in the JW heaven, so maybe I prefer the Islamic vision of 56 young virgins peeling grapes for you (wait a minute, perhaps the Islamists don't know there will be no sex with the virgins, and their barbarity to reach heaven was a total waste of time!) .

They have audiences of hundreds, listening to the most amazing pewk.

Brian Tamati is a great example.
