1177333 2011-02-14 23:57:00 Telecom have been quite behind the ball with a lot of their phone models, it's something that staff internally have been really upset with as well, so they're now really pushing to get newer / better models. From what I can tell, it's going to happen, but I'm unsure if they'll be able to get them quite that quickly? Chilling_Silence (9)

1177335 2011-02-15 00:27:00 I've been watching the Galaxy II thing with interest, but to be honest, I'm not convinced that dual core is that important (or NFC for that matter) - we all know multiple cores don't equate to double the speed; sure, it might chew through Need For Speed better, but battery life is still the issue, and the main culprit is the screen, which is now (slightly) bigger and therefore hungrier.

But it will mean that prices for the Galaxy S will drop, and if it ever gets a Gingerbread release (I'm skeptical) it will be Gold.

1177336 2011-02-15 01:05:00 telecom's sold out of the galaxy s according to their site, but im sure other places will have it.

im thinking the galaxy S is a much better option versus the milestone.

just means i have to save that little bit extra :)

OLED will always be better on the battery life though, so even if it's marginally better, it'll likely chew through less battery.

1177338 2011-02-15 01:33:00 I'm pretty sure the Milestone 2 is coming out shortly (not sure when but it's been a while since the US launch and Motorola is trying to push their phones in NZ now) so you might wanna wait if you want the latest and greatest version. Siobhan Keogh (16063)

Not properly; according to those specs that one doesn't support 850MHz HSDPA/WCDMA, which is Telecom's main XT frequency.
