1177305 2011-02-13 03:45:00 I have the Galaxy S

Yes you can upgrade.

Theres also things like ROM Kitchen which allow you do install the speedmod to help with the horribly slow internal application storage etc.

1177306 2011-02-13 04:11:00 Is the Milestone the same as the "Droid"? If-so, it's got a good solid Gingerbread community ROM now! Chilling_Silence (9)

1177309 2011-02-13 06:13:00 Anybody know if number portability will apply, network access prefix excepted of course.

Cheers

I think it should be OK. I ported my 027 Telecom number to Vodafone about three years ago, and didn't have to change the prefix.

1177310 2011-02-13 06:18:00 If you want to stay with Telecom (a wise choice, IMO) and want to broaden your choice of Android phones, look for any that are compatible with the AT&T network in the US. You should be able to pick up something fairly late-model for a good price on eBay... johcar (6283)
