| 1176761 | 2011-02-10 08:18:00 | I used to be with them. Got a few too many problems and changed to Webbase. No issues with them in 4 years now. X2 for webbase! |

The difference in prices is pretty big. I've found local hosting to be faster, and the customer service better than offshore ones. On a low traffic website the price difference is only a few dollars a month so there is no reason not to do it locally. |

| 1176764 | 2011-02-10 10:06:00 | KiwiWebHost gave great service. They would reply to an email within hours. But unfortunately they have been taken over by Orcon. Back in Oct 2010, Orcon had problems with their servers and that exposed their piss-poor customer service. I wrote emails and got no reply for days. Their service has improved since, but I don't trust them. Yesterday I sent them an email and what I got back was gobbledegook. It was written by some IT monkey who speaks a language that has English words, but makes no sense. Here is a sample: As PRIMER is a shared hosting server, Googles malware detection software unfortunately deems any domain name as a potential threat if it resolves to the same IP address as the server i.e. 202.191.34.83 |
