1178925 2011-02-16 08:49:00 I won't go into the details, but occasionally there is a kid who talks the talks v well . He's into elections and he signed up as a "young" politician and now he is at least campaigning . . .

Because he can talk the talk . . he's gotten some pretty jobs but it's all PR jobs or mgmt jobs .

Which IMO doesn't really do the long hours or the real work . He does a lot of crap talk, meeting such and such . . . such and such . . and oh I did some real work in between too . I mean people who work in public sector, most of them don't get the same priviledge, you do all the secretarial work, or the report writing or the bean counting, you are always meeting deadlines and juggling stuff when things crash around you . Not limiting it to the public sector, I am sure some have people have it easy in the private sector too .

This fella supports all what the party says . . . but then again he hasn't really been one of the working bees . :annoyed:

1178927 2011-02-16 08:57:00 I sense a bit of tall poppy syndrome here.

Being able to talk the talk, and do it well is a skill few people have. If people want to pay him lots of money for it, then good on him.

1178928 2011-02-16 09:41:00 You wouldn't know him . He's not one officially yet .

He works with visiting dignitries . Used to work in at a overseas post (embassy) .
His FB account is always about campaigning eh . . I bet Pctek and he would have a good argument :p

It seems to be catching with someone for lunch like a past lecturer or going to the Backbencher at 3pm, Facebooking any time of the work day .

One of those in his school days, don't play sport, always talk the talk and doing arts literature papers . Dress shoes with jeans or suits and even after shave on a camping trip  and does not date

1178929 2011-02-16 09:47:00 This fellow wouldn't need to be very good to beat you in a job application.
From what I can see, you can't spell and your grammar is terrible.
Not only that, but you don't express yourself clearly.
I cannot understand what you're on about.
And you appear to have a chip on your shoulder.

1178933 2011-02-16 20:13:00 I can appreciate where Nomad is coming from.

He's describing a tosser who may have limited skills, limited knowledge, and does sod-all work, but by gift of the gab, and often gift of good looks, is given a high profile position.

THese people are more often leeches than primary workers.
They don't help develop a product in any manner, but still live of the proceeds of others work. Along the way they probably get subsidised business lunches, travel, accommodation, drink, and for all this the only muscle they exercise is their tongue.
At the risk of inflaming others (no offence intended) , company reps are a great example. If they lack product knowledge (as they often do) they won't admit it, they'll just bullsh!+.
