1178623	2011-02-16 05:14:00	Natural selection. I disagree and hate the whole concept. The bible's point is to enforce some form of morality by means of putting into people the fear of god. I think I person has to decide what is right and wrong for themselves. The same argument can be applied to most religions and their texts. Does that mean the chopping a man's hand off for stealing bread is justified? Because some people, Muhamed, Buddha, or God said so? How many wars has this caused? How much pain and suffering have we had in the name of some book(s)? The Bible was needed in the day, as we were all quite barbaric in those days, it also had sensible cooking guides, like no seafood or pork, as we didnt have oven that could cook that hot. Whether or not its still needed, well I dont know, look how many despots we have around today!?	SolMiester (139)

Along with smoking vs non-smoking, Linux vs Windows vs Apple, pet cats eating native birds and dogs eating people, religion, whaling and good ol' politics maybe this topic should be included in the "don't discuss around the dinner table"? It normally ends up in a right mess . :rolleyes: I feel this thread is getting to the stage where it is causing more ill feeling and aggravation than anything else . At least Goodwin's Law hasn't kicked in yet . So on that note, I'm ending this thread . Now, group hug everyone (and that includes all the boys!) :p	Jen (38)
