1178783 2011-02-20 20:22:00 Yay! Finally got a call from these turkeys. Indian guy said his name was Jack Thompson ph # 04 9748922 (Wellington - yeh right!). www.virtualpcdoctor.com global maintanance dept. Managed to string him along for about 35-40min until I finally owned up to having used pc's for 20yrs & told him 'he' was the one being scammed - got quite angry at that -lol. Directed me to the windows prefetch folder & said the 80 odd files in there were each infected with 900+ virus's all caused by java infections??? Also reconned that it was useless contacting a local IT person as they could not help me & my NOD32 won't work, only they could remove the virus's. All in all a good half hour entertainment. Unfortunatly they were probably on VOIP and not an expensive toll call. Paul Ramon (11806)

Norton's works(?) in a different time scale to mere mortals. It will do its thing eventually, but it is currently fully occupied with slowing down your systems. Bad things take time too. :banana

1178790 2011-02-22 03:02:00 had a friend get called by one of these guys and managed to stall him for 40 minutes while he installed a XP Virtual machine sandbox - he then proceeded to drag them along for 3 hours and wear out 3 of their "techs" and eventually when the operator finally said "ok so would you like to buy the 3,6 or 12 month subscription?" he said "naaah i have a better idea" and rickrolled em - the techs got so angry they deleted his My dopcuments folder - on a fresh XP vm all he last was those jazz and beethoven music samples

even better they rang back the next day and called him a bastard! ooooOOOhhhh! - he told them to go do something nasty to themselves with some razorwire and hung up - never heard from them again

its fun heckling them :D
