No, we taxpayers will pay nothing for the operation itself. She will have to pay every last cent herself although the Govt does cough up for a handful of compulsory counselling sessions. |

The bible is just a collection of short stories about the way some men feel we should live our lives, it is neither law or authoritative despite what some people would have us believe |

Well if you do decide to believe the Bible then you will know that it was merely transcribed by men, but written by God - but lets leave that out of this discussion. I too am a homophobe, hate it and them that 'indulge' in it. Its not natural, its bollox and they should all be shot on sight, chicks on the other hand... :D My opinions only, and we are all allowed opinions. The reproductive process was never intended to function that way, and it can't. So don't try and tell me its natural, its not. If you want to try and disprove this, then round up a collection of x2 of the same sex of every mammal, stick them on an island - wait for a 100 years, come back and see it bursting with new life... oh wait..... |

I believe being gay is wrong, I understand the science behind it though . And what others do is their business . Gays can be gay as long as 1 . they don't rub it in my face . 2 . don't adopt kids . And on the bible issue, I know it reasonable well . It doesnt matter who you are (unless your a serial rappist murdering homo) you can't say you don't believe in it . If anything it's an instruction book for life . If you see past the "God is a legend" stuff all that's there is life lessons and guidelines to a happy fullfilling life . So even if you don't believe in the bible, you kinda do . SO suck on that . Personally I wandered (ran?) away from the church because it pretty much creeped me out . Parents made me go as a kid and I was kinda into it for a bit but then I "grew up" and decided it wasn't my thing . Can't say I wont go back but can't see it happening either . The bible's point is to enforce some form of morality by means of putting into people the fear of god. I think I person has to decide what is right and wrong for themselves. The same argument can be applied to most religions and their texts. Does that mean the chopping a man's hand off for stealing bread is justified? Because some people, Muhamed, Buddha, or God said so? How many wars has this caused? How much pain and suffering have we had in the name of some book(s)? |
