1179051 2011-02-17 01:43:00 The other thing that worries me is the gullibility of the viewers, as shown by thie start of this thread. "It's on TV, so it must all be true!". No questions, no analysis, just knee-jerk reaction. Scary. Tony (4941)
1179052 2011-02-17 01:50:00 Apparently TV3 has asked for more results but the info is not yet forthcoming. Snorkbox (15764)
1179053 2011-02-18 05:28:00 Yeah, my recollection (always poor) when this was reported locally MONTHS ago, was that the scheme had gone well, and that the produce was going home with the 'students'.

We've had a very hot summer, and the area has just recently recovered from a flood. If the care of the gardens had been abandoned, then it's not surprising that it's full of weeds with just some overlooked late blooming produce left over.

Besides, in this area their priorities go towards more profitable harvests further up in the hills - so they'll be puting their new-found skills, and possibly a bunch of pilfered govt funded garden tools to use up in the bush.

Pass the trowlie to the left hand side...

1179054 2011-02-18 05:31:00 Campbell Live has done some really BAD reporting in recent times.

How about some shock/horror reporting about the money being wasted on paying a team of sensationalist reporters who present cr@p instead of research?
