| 1179000 | 2011-02-16 19:44:00 | I had a similar event. Car was stolen behind a work property. Alternator was bad so they had to use other means. Car was then located couple of mins away. It was towed so we had to pay for it. Car wasn't insured as it was not being used. Then 1 or 2 days later it was stolen again. It was found again (and towed) and this time we didn't want to pay. We get told by the Police it had to be towed etc .. and towies approached debt collection agencies. Then Police then say, they will pay for towage fee only and any incurred fees assoc. with storing of the vehicle (as it has been with them for months now) is our responsibility  Dad went and had a look at his car and they apparently torched it up and yet were still getting us to pay the costs. Not sure what happened then after thou ... maybe they waived it or maybe they paid them to just to conclude the issue, I don't know. On a different vehicle. We had a 323 window smashed on our driveway some months ago too. They popped the engine hood up and maybe they found nothing of interest they didn't steal it. Police didn't even bother to come to us. They just post us a police certificate (or whatever you call them) based on what we told them on the phone. |

"Outrageous Fortune" wasn't entirely fiction - in fact, probably the only thing in that series that WAS fiction were the names of the characters (to avoid getting sued). Worst I've had (again living near a State Housing area some years ago), was that my radar detector was stolen from my car parked in the carport with the house on a busy intersection. But that was in 1990. |

| 1179005 | 2011-02-16 21:45:00 | Or spread the rumour that you're unstable and have guns in the house... it'll make them think twice! It would probably make the cops think twice as well. |

Or spread the rumour that you're unstable and have guns in the house... it'll make them think twice! Only if you dont have a gun licence. If you do the feld polizei will pull it. Heard a guy replied to jury duty form saying he was a nutcase and not suitable for a jury. Feld Polizei came and collected his shooters. |

| 1179007 | 2011-02-16 22:31:00 | Just got back from my short trip to the cop shop. Closed. Due to upgrades and whatever. For emergencies go to the Henderson one, a note on the door says. ***, this isn't very inspiring. No wonder the place is going down to the shitter. If I caught the son of a *****.....well let's just say his face will be physically rearranged, free of charge. I only managed some 3 hours sleep....for some reason I just can't keep asleep now. Might just need to go about the day's business and fall asleep earlier tonight. Sigh.... |

| 1179009 | 2011-02-16 22:38:00 | When I was 20 my car got stolen, went to a party and spotted it in the drive way, while I was horrendously drunk. Crawled into it and even tries to start it/drive it, but it had been hotwired and I couldn't work it out. Somehow I got the handbrake off and it crashed into the tree by the driveway. Slept in it til I woke up with a cop tapping on the window. The one and only time I drunk and drove. Never again |
