| 1178751 | 2011-02-16 03:28:00 | Just had my first call from the nice Indian gentleman saying my computer was full of infections :clap Played him for 45 minutes - acting dumb - No sir I don't know much about computers, but I have noticed its been running rather slow lately - not really knowing what to do -- Oh did I mention the PC locks up all the time and I have to reboot :lol: If you look at the keyboard, there is a key on the left ctrl, next to that is a key with a windows symbol - press that - nope nothing happens ctrl+Windows No No-- Just the windows key --Ohhhhhh - is there a box called run -- errrrr no - OK press windows +r --Press r nothing -- NO No windows and R together -- ohhhhh sorry ------------- Got me to open the inf folder--- saying those were the infections --:rolleyes: Then the event viewer -- he was getting quit pissed when I said there were no triangles or red circles. --- Are you sure you are following my instructions ----errrrr i think so -- maybe we should start again --- Oh crap - locking up -- Hang on --OK start again. In the end my cell rang - I answered it - Hang on better get that could be my wife - Hello <insert my company name > Computers ------ Funny he had left once I talked to a real customer :crying and I was so wanting to clean out my computer of these infections. :lol: |

The line wasn't that clear, so I had to ask him to repeat the instructions several times He did ask If I know much about computers -- No Not really, just a few basic things :devil <--- Innocent Angel Simile if we had one . We all know how long the event viewer files can be :D Epically when he was saying is there any Triangles, or red circles ---errrrrr no, just the word information, the date . Well keep scrolling to the end :sleep - and please let me know when you find any and how many ---Errrrrrrrrrrrr Ok ---- anything yet --- No Oh heres one --- he got all excited -- Nope, that was just an error from a failed CD I have just tried to burn this morning and it didn't work . Wish I had recorded it -- Would have been funny as hell . I was going for a longer time - but real customers come first . Its damn hard trying not to laugh and sound concerned . ;) |

Wonder how they'd handle that?? And my Event Viewer is remarkably empty of yellows etc. In fact the only one has been the License thingy you mentioned, and Counterspy hangs occasionally on start, other than that it's empty. As if that proves anything anyway, the twits. LOL at your cellphone call, bet that freaked him out. |
