1210248 2011-06-18 06:44:00 Hi Team

Thanks to sterling service from the free version of Malwarebytes I recently decided to pay for the full version (least I could do).

Subsequent to installation, it has started blocking IP addresses and the latest event occurred a short while ago when I was having another try at getting FF Download Helper add-on going. I previously uninstalled DLH because it stopped me from playing any YouTube or other net videos (nothing happens when I try to play one).

I just downloaded the latest version of DLH and up popped MWB saying it had blocked traffic to (or from, I don't recall which, but I think it was outgoing) a malicious site with I.P. address 94.100.23.211.

Any ideas on what that was about?

Cheers

As a matter of fact uninstalling Download Helper made no difference to my ability to run videos anyway, whatever it did was not reversed and they are still a dead end at this stage.

Looks like something DLH would point to...

If that is the Download Helper addon for FF by Microsoft. FF4.01+ is now disabling it because of security issues. I was on some ones netbook today and he had three addons installed with the Bing bar that were all disabled for that reason. I just uninstalled the Bing bar.

1210252 2011-06-18 09:38:00 Unfortunately I haven't the faintest idea as to what anything in pctek's response means, but one thing seems to be clear: It is associated with Download Helper and if that is the case, it seems that MWB is blocking something that I might actually want or need.

It seems strange that it doesn't offer the option to allow/disallow the connection, so I guess I'll have to look into MWB and see if it has any features like that.

1210253 2011-06-18 09:51:00 So, I've looked into MWB and apart from finding the log confirming that this IP address is being blocked I am none the wiser.

If I find an option to enable this IP address in MWB, should I do so?

Cheers

Sorry about the bump folks, but I'd really like to get video back and since uninstalling DLH didn't do it for me I need to be looking for fixes.
