| 1180260 | 2011-02-21 06:28:00 | Whatever is this country coming to? Below is a photo (link HERE (www.stuff.co.nz)) of our intrepid leader arm in arm with the worlds biggest, racist and radical, attending Whitehanging day celebrations. Yes, the worlds second biggest racist radical, Hone Harawiras, mother, Titewhai. (Or so its alleged, mother that is.) Are we to assume then that Hone Key is in fact a double agent and ex officio leader of the Maori Party? Imagine if you will, a photo of Obama, arm in arm with the KKK leader and the reactions of Americans, because that is what were looking at. Anyway, after the love making was over, Titewhai remains unsatisfied and makes the following press release: DISGRUNTLED Maori have warned that Rugby World Cup celebrations could be disrupted if their grievances including those over the foreshore and seabed aren't addressed. Prominent Maori say the tournament, just 200 days away, would be a "grand opportunity" to make a political statement. Long-time Ngapuhi activist and Maori Council executive member Titewhai Harawira said she was determined to "expose" New Zealand's treatment of Maori to the large foreign media contingent covering the event. "We are going to use the international media to expose what is going on in this country," she told the Sunday Star-Times. "I want to be telling international media that all those reports they get that say we are well looked after and our land is intact are rubbish. We are going to be talking to the international media, absolutely." Harawira said she hoped to provide visitors with a "whole chronology of what has happened in this country". "I will talk about how legislation has taken away and denied us," she said. "We have time to put it all together, hand it out and talk about it." So there you have it. Our Prime Minister seems quite at ease to be photographed arm in arm with this rubbish, so I look forward to photos of him meeting and enjoying a drink and smoke with the Rebel Motorcycle Gang seeing he has so much in common with the low life. But wait theres more. In his speech at Whitehanging day he said: "This week 60,000 five-year-olds turned up for school and 12,000 of them will leave unable to read and write, and the bulk of them will be of Maori and Pacific ethnicity. Ultimately, if people are locked into an underclass, that's a bad recipe for all New Zealanders," he said. Well hello, if this is the case I wouldnt want the world to know about it. Hes telling us and the world that 20% of our kids spend 10 years at school and leave being unable to read or write. I wonder if he should be spending more time sorting out the Education System and less time with Maori Activists. Whooops, I forgot, hes actually one of them isnt he. I thought there was a glimmer of hope when Key got in, but noooop, just more of the same. :( |

Aborigines.....American Indians......Africans.....geez..... How can you use the word "indigenous" when describing maori? Maori are not indigenous to New Zealand. Indigenous means originating in and characteristic of a particular region or country. Maori cannot be considered indigenous when even their own history tells of their arrival in this country in many large canoes. You might be able to call them native, but definitely not indigenous. |
