It seems if the cops haven't formally identified your corpse you in fact are not counted among the dead... just a pity you can't be counted among the alive either. Well if they are not dead they will have to fill out the census form. I see they have postponed it. |

As I understand it, a lot of petrol stations are running low. Even as far away as Rakaia and Ashburton. Leeston is out. Rolleston BP was closed, unsure if they've reopened. Power is back on in Phillipstown and Woolston at least, no water in Woolston, port-a-loos are on the way. |

They said on the radio that its 22 stories. I had never heard of it. But if you look on the Heralds website in the centre there is an article on it, and the article has 6 or 7 good shots of it. I counted about 18 floors And secondly if you look at pics 4, 5 and 6, you can see that its going to fall down. And lastly that earthquake is going to cost NZ billions and billions. I can definitely see National selling the power companies. |

Haven't they heard of all the miracles overseas where they pull people out a week or 10 days later ? I hear Japan is not very impressed, as some of their Nationals were in the building. |
