You might be lucky to get 50cents on the dollar but soon they will be worthless.

Border’s website today said that, as part of the administration process, customers must spend double the amount of the certificate.

"As part of the administration process, Borders Gift Cards are not currently available for purchase in store," the website said.

"Existing gift cards may be redeemed in store. To redeem a gift card, you must spend at least twice the face value of the card (i.e. to redeem a gift card with a face value of $25, you must make a total purchase of $50 or more)."

1179444 2011-02-18 01:50:00 That is not what Whitcoulls are saying.
Vouchers and gift cards could only be accepted if the customer spent the same value on books or other goods

1179445 2011-02-18 01:54:00 How is that different?

You have to spend twice as much as you might have wanted too.

1179447 2011-02-18 02:04:00 Me either, I buy all my stuff through Mightyape www.mightyape.co.nz :)

I consider this a public service announcement.

1179448 2011-02-18 02:09:00 I used the Borders on queenstreet as a place to hang out more than anything else... The cafe they have there makes a nice tiramisu cheesecake. Cato (6936)

I detest reading ebooks, I am sure it's enjoyable on a Kindle or a Galaxy tab or iPad, but I can't do it on a desktop or a laptop, I find it all too annoying.
