| 1212456 | 2011-06-27 04:21:00 | When I test my BBand download speed 11.40mbps and upload speed of 0.65mbps. Is this reasonable. I'm not sure what telecom claim to be an acceptable rate. I realise it will vary depending on time of day and traffic. However how do we know if we are getting what we pay for? |

| 1212464 | 2011-06-27 10:54:00 | Hi Cinnie, welcome to PressF1. As has been said, it really depends. If you're a long way away from the Exchange or Cabinet, then you'd likely (as I do) get around 1mbps. This is because ADSL gets slower the further from the source you are. You get 11, so you're apparently pretty close, so I'd say you're getting quite good value. Telecoms rollout is shooting for 80% of the country (Is it 80%? I think it's 80%) to be on speeds of between 10 -> 20mbps by the end of this year, so that covers you! If I was getting 11, I'd be stoaked right about now :p |

'should' it be any higher??, im assuming the router has a part to play? |
