1212415 2011-06-27 02:29:00 Can anyone recommend a decent KVM switch? I've been looking around and have seen IP based KVM switches, however you need one at each end, is there an option for a web based KVM that you can use with a browser or something similar?

I have a monitor, keyboard mouse, i don't mind having to go to the servers, but it would be nice if I could access the console from my desk.

TIA

1212416 2011-06-27 02:35:00 Most server vendors offer some form of built-in lights-out/remote management, or what about VNC or similar remote desktop tools? Otherwise, Aten and a few other companies make KVM switches that have a web UI for remote access. inphinity (7274)

I just need something for console access when remote tools are either not working or if I need to configure my router from the CLI.

All my equipment is consumer level stuff apart from my mail server so some sort of KVM would be more practical.
