| 1212385 | 2011-06-27 00:44:00 | Hi Guys I help my mum look after her PC She has Windows 7 on it. We have a user password. But every now and then (perhaps monthly ?) it asks her to change her password. I feel this is a bit of an overkill for her as she lives alone. But I can't find an option to turn this off or make it say once a year ! Any suggestions ? Thanks |

When starting will go straight into windows. Edited: To change the length of time for a reminder you would do it through Local Users and Groups Manager, BUT you have to running either Professional, Ultimate, or Enterprise editions. |

Could post directions to get there if you need it, but will have to be home, to run through my Win7 to remember it. | Empathy. (16382) | ||

So I don't know where the password re-setting requirement came from if this is normally only on one of the more upmarket versions. I did not expect to see it on this machine. But I will try removing the password as suggested. |
