PS. I don't need the full executive seminar rooms.

:thanks

Edit: do hotels rent laptops?

No I would say that they don't rent laptops.

1181437 2011-02-25 20:09:00 Many will have some PCs (internet-cafe style) you can use, either for free or for a small charge. Internet access in your room is now very common - via WiFi or otherwise - but you have to supply your own laptop. somebody (208)
1181438 2011-02-25 20:30:00 I have noticed that a lot of tourists including backpackers carry laptops with them. They obviously get internet connections in their accomodation. Bobh (5192)
1181439 2011-02-25 21:59:00 Thanks for the above.

I have heard that some hotels, like Marriott rent out laptops. But there should be PC workstations available.

Thing is I have a budget airfare that charges people for checked baggage, for a no. of yrs now I have learnt to travel with just a daypack. Also that I am staying 2 nights in each of the major city in each country (6-7 days in total). Rather not deal with the extra bulk. I don't have a Netbook, a regret, I have one of the ultraportable business laptops but went for a tablet version which ups the size and weight by a fraction. Funny that, I hardly use the tablet function ....

1181442 2011-02-26 10:01:00 I have always found computing facilities available in any midrange-and-up hotel I've stayed in since the mid 1990s. They could be sparse, and on occasion I've had to fix printer problems or configuration issues to get going, but they have by and large been adequate. I've posted on PF1 from several, mostly back in the days of WFTWE.

Cheers

1181444 2011-02-26 21:30:00 I believe that you can carry on a laptop as extra luggage (ie as well as your day bag) hueybot3000 (3646)
