Perhaps not living in your world just means people not wanting to live in Wellington as you and 12volts do.

1181391 2011-02-25 10:57:00 I saw on TV a looter being taken away in a Police car, his face was not shown. This is the way that people who break the law should be dealt with. The quake has mostly brought out the best in the people of Canterbury. There is a small criminal element that are taking advantage of the situation. We should applaud the police for doing their job but any vigilante behaviour will exasperate the problem.

I'm in favour of law and order so lets hope that the police catch a few more of the offenders. It is up to the public to assist the police by giving them appropriate information.

His face should be shown to the whole world while he is in the stocks with a note around his neck stating his crime.

1181394 2011-02-25 11:13:00 I'm still a fan for bringing back the stocks and parking offenders where they can be seen. A bit of humiliation goes a long way. Snorkbox (15764)

That's another world Snort, best to let police deal with it, so that judge can slap them with a damp bus ticket, that will pleas old Bob and Prefect.

Bit tough on people who live in Auckland where there's too many parking police

Seriously, I agree for putting these low lifes in the stocks, but we're much too PC to re-introduce that penalty. We could though make the current maximum 7 year be just that. 7 years behind bars. :angry
