| 1182080 | 2011-02-28 18:58:00 | Come on guys, don't be small-minded. This is nothing more than a group of people with a common interest doing what they can to help others. Just as motorcyclists on KiwiBiker are fundraising and offering accommodation, garage space, and help to Christchurch motorcyclists. And family members reach out and help other family members. Bull Sh1t !!!! This is racism - nothing less. Stop making excuses Winston. It's people like you and your PC krap that permits racism to continue in this country. The rest of the population are being held to ransom by these idiots. |

| 1182084 | 2011-02-28 20:44:00 | Apart from the fact that pakeha is a ignorant meaningless word, I'd imagine both Churches would have people from many races within their orginsations, But as they aren't racist they aren't defining themselves in such a way, and aren't attracting the attention of people that don't agree with race based agendas. Pākehā is a perfectly valid and acknowledged word with no bad meanings except for those imposed on it by those who choose to. I am not a NZ European as the census takers would have it; I am a Pākehā. Get over it. So according to you, it is ok if a religious group bands together to help, but it is not ok if an extended family like Ngai Tahu do? Go figure. This issue only has legs on this forum because of the intrinsic hatred of Māori displayed amongst a scary number of immature people here. If it was the Samoans doing it (and they probably are - no doubt PIC have set up earthquake response centres to coordinate help coming in from other PIC's around the country) you wouldn't turn a hair. Neither would you if it was the Polish or Croat people in Auckland seeking out others in Polish or Croat Associations to assist down here. That is what people do - it is called "networking", and family or whānau support. I can guarantee you this - the Ngai Tahu earthquake response centre will never turn away anyone in need. That is not how they operate. Get over it. And think about the attitudes towards Māori that you are instilling in your children. I do, and it appals me. What a legacy you are leaving. My three year old grandchild demonstrates more maturity than you do. |

| 1182088 | 2011-02-28 21:13:00 | Pakeha means non-maori. Everyone but maori. Personally I think it is lazy. Imagine if whiteys just went around using the term 'non-whites' every sentence. Sounds sh*t don't it. Anyways, I think any help is good, especially at this time, I just hate how these spineless politicians always seem to put their slimey twist on things and make something good look crap. |

| 1182089 | 2011-02-28 21:13:00 | The way the maoris say the word I know it means white pig. Any maoris calls me that word gets the appropriate name for his race right back at him. |
