The Catholics and the Baptists have both set up earthquake response centres locally, and none of you are slagging them off, presumably because they are Pākehā. Nothing different - like minded groups of people want to pitch in and help, and in many cases they will be helping their own. No doubt the lodges, friendly societies, Scouts, Guides etc will be doing something similar. I just happened to take my boxes of fruit, veges, and bread to the Catholic Chervier Centre - I am not Catholic, not even Christian, but hey, who gives a toss who helps who at a time like this? What a bunch of children you guys can be sometimes. Oh, and by the way, what have YOU done to help apart from carping from the sidelines?	John H (8)

Apart from the fact that pakeha is a ignorant meaningless word, I'd imagine both Churches would have people from many races within their orginsations, But as they aren't racist they aren't defining themselves in such a way, and aren't attracting the attention of people that don't agree with race based agendas. Who really cares what help people set up to help other people if it works for the people receiving the support .
