| 1181956 | 2011-02-28 14:06:00 | Good on you everyone, great thread. $20 Red Cross, $80 Salvation Army. No particular reason for uneven split, simply wanted to support both organisations. Also Habitat For Humanity (with which I volunteer) is planning practical help in the next few weeks once the immediate crisis is over. Our family have helped with accommodation for some Christchurch refugees. My wife is currently working intensely as a Civil Defence controller - the workload is vast and unending but that is good because of all the help being offered. Testing times bring out the best in people. |
