1181497 2011-02-26 10:59:00 Last post in this thread but can't believe what I'm reading.

You realised what you just quoted right goodiesguy?

They are still pulling bodies out of the rubble.
It is too soon to joke about this..

How the eff are we meant to get over this effing disaster if we don't find the good in it, and have a laugh.

Yeah, that's something really worth laughing about.

1181498 2011-02-26 11:00:00 I hate to say this goodies, but please, grief is part of human emotion, and almost everyone who is normal needs to be able to express how they feel.
They're hurt, bereaved of loved ones they'll never see again, their lives are NOT going to be the same. Just because the media have stopped covering it every hour of the day does not change the fact that their city is still in rubble.

While yes it's a nice idea to try and cheer them up, for the most part, they're simply not done feeling terrible about their situation to look on the brighter side yet.

1181502 2011-02-26 11:20:00 Agreed.

x2.

You wouldn't go to a funeral and say, 'Sorry about aunty Pat, but look, I got your nose!'.

Goodiesguy, please, sit in a corner or something... anything... so long as it's away from here...

1181503 2011-02-26 11:22:00 Ok, I think the next post should be from jen or chill, the intention was good. Timing was terrible. Result was worse.

No more posts.

Lighten up.
There is nothing terrible about those two pictures.

My mum has been in a few bad situations, worse than this - she always looks on the happier side.

Some light relief is exactly what people having a bad time need.

1181505 2011-02-26 21:21:00 I don't mind the pics at all really. There isnt really much to laugh about down here but there is certainly a few funny stories etc.

I think the only problem in this thread was goodiesguy with his 13y/o view of the world

1181506 2011-02-26 21:21:00 Pictures of people celebrating life (and being alive) are fine by me, but it is the title of this thread with "the lighter side" that is completely brainless. Twelvevolts (5457)
