1212309 2011-06-26 11:15:00 I just have a quick, simple question today. Just now, my browser, Firefox 3.6.17, was randomly redirected to the address "thailand.needed4.info". I haven't been able to find any info on it, and I haven't been able to get it to happen again, but I wanted to see if anyone knew anything about it. Maybe I'm just overreacting and it was just an ad in a site that caused it? Malwarebytes didn't find anything, at least.

Anyway, sorry if I'm just being paranoid, and thanks in advance for any responses.

1212310 2011-06-26 11:20:00 FF is up to v5 now. GameJunkie (72)
1212311 2011-06-26 11:21:00 Did you do a full scan with malwarebytes? Not a quick scan Speedy Gonzales (78)
1212312 2011-06-26 11:23:00 I did do a quick scan. I'll do a full one now.

I'm fine with using Firefox 3 so long as it's still supported. That's okay, right?

1212313 2011-06-26 11:28:00 Download and run Ccleaner - if its an odd occurrence, there may be something in the temp Internet files.

Ccleaner will remove them.

1212314 2011-06-26 11:32:00 well, its up to 3.6.18 now anyways GameJunkie (72)
1212315 2011-06-26 11:38:00 If you use java and flash, make sure both are up to date (and make sure you uninstall ALL previous versions). Earlier versions of both have vulnerabilities Speedy Gonzales (78)
1212316 2011-06-26 12:30:00 Okay, full scan with Malwarebytes (free version) didn't find anything either. Ran Cchat. Updated Firefox, which I was going to do anyway. Oh, it looks like my Java is out of date, though, and I seem to have two entries (Java 6 Update 23 and 24). I guess I'll delete them and install the latest version. Bussani (14313)
1212317 2011-06-26 12:35:00 Uninstall both first.

Then extract this www.thewebatom.net

Run it. Select the language and select remove old versions. And it'll remove the old entries of Java (after it uninstall the old versions)

Then install update 26. Which is the latest at the mo

1212318 2011-06-26 12:45:00 Okay, I've done all that. I guess I'll just keep an eye on it now and make sure it was an isolated incident. Thanks everyone! Bussani (14313)
