1181201 2011-02-24 09:19:00 Ok, so I just did a fresh install of W7 and went to download Skype...

However, skype wants me to log in or sign up before I can download it... Opera says it's certificate is broken...

Out of curiosity, I tried it on my other machine, where skype was installed and running... And it didn't ask me to sign up or log in to download skype...
I asked a fried to check, it would download for him straight away too.
(None of us were logged in to Skype's website)

Since when has Skype been demanding people sign up or log in before allowing them to download?

Both Chrome and Opera reject Skype's certificate, IE has no issue with it.

Thoughts?

1181203 2011-02-24 20:40:00 I noticed this too last week, had to login to download it for one of our users here. I do have an old version but wanted to download the latest instead. Any one know why?

EDIT: maybe a way of stopping bots, but for someone who doesnt have a skype account??
