| 1463152 | 2019-08-18 22:29:00 | Over the last few days I have had a Web Page pop up on my PC purporting to be from Pack N Save informing me that I have won a prize and presenting a form to be filled in to validate it. I think that the page is triggered by the the same adds system which produces adds when one is browsing the web. The scam page only ever appears in the default browser on my Win 10 PC after I run an App which I have allowed to show adds rather than paying a sub to remove them. I block adds in my browser. It looks quite realistic to anyone who is a little bit unsuspecting. The fact that I never have dealt with Pack N Save is a pretty good clue that it is a scam. It might pay to warn any friends you have who might tend to take things at face value. |
