| 1463113 | 2019-08-18 02:51:00 | Hello I have lots of files and data stored on my D drive and a few backup drives. I thought I would start to use Onedrive as a quick and further (off-site) backup. But I have now changed my mind as my left hand window pane is domanited by One drive folders and it is easy for me to save a file in Onedrive (by mistake) and not on my hard drive. So I am going to remove Onedrive as much as I can. What do you think? |

Using it for back-up is not so very remote from writing to a Write-only storage method. Stuff in the cloud seems just too much like vapourware. I fail to see any good Plan B for problems with access. Any emergency scheme that is going to involve Chorus in the connection seems a bit like three missing links supporting a couple of broken ones, or depending on Epsom voters for a display of logic. When something goes phut, it is nice to have some hardware you can blame, and kick out. Cloud problems are insoluble whodunnits, and even worse for finding where they dunnit, or didn't do it. The evidence is liable to be almost as nebulous as the warranty after even the slightest hiccup. Post-it notes are far more credible storage media. ;) |

WHY, simply close up one drive and you'll be left with one folder only, to the left of the Onedrive will be a Downward facing arrow v , click it to close, then you'll get a > to expand it back out click it again Example, Expanded and closed. 9870 9871 |

| 1463116 | 2019-08-18 04:34:00 | Just a minor detail, but onedrive files ARE on your hard drive. At least on the PC you saved them from. Onedrive mirrors a local folder or folders to the cloud. You probably knew that but for the sake of anyone who doesn't I thought I'd mention it. |
