| 1460124 | 2019-04-24 10:25:00 | Trying to do a fresh install of Win10, inserted the USB flash stick, pressed F11 while booting. Came up this Menu: Please Select Boot Device: AHCI PO: ST1000 DM013 AHCI PS: HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GH24NS USB: USB3.0 Flash Drive PMAP UEFI: USB3.0 Flash Drive PMAP The first 3 options are quite straight forward, I think, HDD , DVD. and the USB Flash drive; but, the last option, UEFI USB 3.0 what is this? Isn't it the same as the third option? It is a Asrock M'board. Cheers. |

A simple way to explain ( kind of) is (Example) windows 10 will boot from either, as its UEFI capable, But I have a partition program that if I try to boot from UEFI, it wont work, its an older program that doesn't support UEFI, so I have to change the BIOS back to Legacy. Think along the lines of the USB is the old Legacy Where as UEFI is the Newer option. The following video explains a little more in detail ( not to technical) www.youtube.com |
