1460475 2019-05-05 06:15:00 Without the add-ons, I doubt anyone wants to use FF to watch Youtube streamings!

Any alternatives?

1460476 2019-05-05 06:32:00 I'm going to wait a few days before stuffing around with firefox. It works on Edge. I'm good for now the_bogan (9949)
1460477 2019-05-05 06:54:00 The adds are unbearable! Time to switch to another browser? bk T (215)
1460478 2019-05-05 07:12:00 wainuitech, my FF won't allow it to install : "blog.mozilla.org The add-on could not be downloaded because of a connection failure"

in post #27 posted instructions, but here again.

The Gotya is the direct link or the site mentioned FF actually blocks the fix, so you either have to use another browser to get the patch or right click / Save instead, then install.

From Post #20 you can right click the direct link - Save -- then open FF ( assuming you have the menus showing)

From File - Open File - Navigate to the file you downloaded, select it, you'll a prompt to allow ( mine was on the top Left) then on top Right clicked OK, once installed any addons have come back almost instantly. Had a few customers calling moaning as well, worked each time.

If no menu then as shown:

9595

Right click anywhere in the blank top bar - click menu

1460479 2019-05-05 07:49:00 Fixed 4 copies of FF with the direct link. 2 desktop and 2 mobile versions of FF as we both use it on our phones instead of chrome. gary67 (56)
1460480 2019-05-05 08:10:00 I got mine going doing this:

In Firefox: Tools/Options/Privacy and Security/ Scroll down to "Firefox Data Collection and Use"/Tick "Allow Firefox to send technical and interaction data to Mozilla", that should automatically tick "Allow Firefox to install and run studies" if not tick it yourself.

Close the options then close and restart Firefox and wait a few minutes, your addons should return, when they do, go back and untick the above.

When I right-clicked the direct link in #20, it only gives me options to save link as, save link to pocket .
Can't download the file.

Please advise.

In my FF, 'Allow Firefox to send technical and interaction data to Mozilal' and, 'Allow Firefox to install and run studies' are already ticked!

1460483 2019-05-05 19:30:00 On one machine I had to use a different browser to get the direct link to save and then installed it into FF gary67 (56)
