| 1464489 | 2019-10-13 19:47:00 | The app has never been any good for checking tickets on the night, perfectly fine the next day. Doesn't worry me I often don't check mine for days to preserve the illusion I might have won something. And Scam? hardly. Tax on the poor, sure. Foolish waste of money, yep., Scam? no. OK, its a bit hash. But so many people seem to think it's like a raffle. No it isn't, no-one HAS to win, except the ones running it. And those ads, lotto money goes to (Insert org of choice). Ah no, if you weren't buying lotto, you might have a bit to actually give said org, actually themselves without the middle man. And the ads, the big winners....never mind the millions who won nothing at all, yet again, but of course not, couldmn't bring that to the suckers attention. I hate lotto. |

How I got into it, was when my daughter bought me a ticket for last BD. She rang me a few days after the draw & asked if I had checked the results, as a ticket sold from the same store had won a biggy but was still unclaimed. I hadnt bothered checking as I wasent expecting a win & thought I wait until next trip into town & run it through the machine. So installed the app on my tablet & checked the ticket. Got the ta-da & the fanfare, you have a wining ticket. In a small town I didn't really want to want to make a big scene in the supermarket, so opted for a quieter location in a book store. So with some trepidation I handed over my ticket to the young lady. She feeds it in the machine, "oh well done, you have won a free ticket in the next draw" |

Lotto is a better deal than the coffee shop on the way to work. I get zero chance of winning big with morning coffee's :) You would get much better odds gambling on the horses than lotto. Maybee if the local dairies had TAB's instead of Lotto's ... Somehow Lotto isnt seen as gambling . |
