Not much to do with the music of course, but the narrator at least starts with the same lines in the opening scene.

It was great, and the cover artwork was fantastic.

Same, we listened to the vinyl album a lot during the late 70's. I still have the exact same album in my record collection but haven't played it for years.

Anything I want to hear I just play on uTube.

My wife and I have the CD box set, which has had many playings. We were disappointed in the "BBC 2 part mini series of the war of the worlds on TVNZ on demand". The portrayal of the machines was wonderful, but somehow the film as a whole fell flat. Not as good as listening to the CDs with your imagination running wild! And of course, we missed The Burton voice...
