Read the blurb before downloading the files.

garry Assuming W10 is already been on the PC ( even if its a different HDD) and it was activated just remember, NO NEED to put in a licence key, you may have to select the version that was on previous ( home or Pro) and it will activate once it goes online.

Run updates manually after installing, and it will bring through any drivers as well as any cumulative updates or patches.

Comments said they were insider versions :-)

Official download is still 1809 (MediaCreationTool1809.exe)
www.microsoft.com

Interestingly, media creation tool gives the option to upgrade on my Win7 PC .

So MS are still doing upgrades, via their own tool, despite that NOT giving you a valid 10 lic .
But, MS specifically state the free upgrade period has ended & specifically state activation does NOT mean you have a valid lic.
so, what the....... :badpc:

I did try it a while back Via a ISO/ DVD, didn't want to know about it.

My own personal opinion - But I think MS have done something and they cant actually disable the upgrades, if they do it "may" deactivate millions of previously upgraded Computers. ( AGAIN only my opinion) imagine the law suits if that happened ;)

cheers. Downloaded a Newer Version of that ISO ( same one you got) had to recreate a DVD that got damaged, the current version has all the updates as well as cumulative, and installs to 1903--- Build 18362.86 So there will be very little in the way of OS updates, mainly hardware drivers etc.

When was that?
Last 7 to 10 ug I did was Jan this year: it activated without issues. That was a clean install using the 7 key though .
I shouldnt be doing that anymore, given MS have said its not a legit license doing an ug .

Thought I'd give it a go again, found an old PC that had Vista, installed W7, activated, and then ran the media creation tool - Upgrade, roughly a hour or so later installed and had auto activated W10.

thanks...I did get the W10 1903---Build 18362.86.90425-1442.19H1_RELEASE_SVC_PROD3...x64...………. but I think you are referring to downloading a newer version of the W10 1809 Pro that I got a while back.

Cheers.
