1460522 2019-05-06 22:36:00 Does anyone use the free version of MS Teams ? if so, then do you know how to add a calendar in there that does not require Exchange.

I am not sure if Calendar is available or is there but in reduced functionality with the free version.
I tried accessing calendar from MS Teams Desktop App and it states "Mailbox does not exist"

I essentially want to collaborate with few of my friends who will download the iOS /Android Teams App on their smartphone OR use PC and then use Teams for outdoor activities. Specifically we want to use a calendar to indicate our availability etc for event planning

I think I maybe able to embed like a Excel sheet or something in the chat workspace of the teams channel as a ad hoc workaround but I would prefer not to go that route if possible.

Cheers

1460523 2019-05-06 23:45:00 Dont think you can. Calender is part of Exchange , not free .

Try Google Calendar instead ?

Ok, thanks. I would have preferred everything done from within Teams (chat / task assignment/docs ) and hence the calendar to be native to Teams. But i will look into Google option
