| 1183916 | 2011-03-06 07:10:00 | Why is it that if one has leftovers together with some fresh food, some people just restrict what they eat . That, if one packet of snacks has not been finished yet some may open another packet . Even thou, you buy less food (like ham) there is always leftovers that stay in the fridge until it's gone off . |

Based on the lack of primary ingredients I see in people's trolley's at the supermarket (raw fruit/veg/meat) and the vast array of pre-prepared crap, I really wonder why people can't understand how their money doesn't go far . |

| 1183924 | 2011-03-06 19:19:00 | Bubble and Squeak is leftover mashed potato and cabbage . Fry in (must be) bacon fat . Yum . Leftovers? I never have leftovers . Sometimes I make something in quantity to freeze - like soup . Everything goes in my freezer . To be used later . My trolley in the supermarket doesn't have meat and veges in it . Because I buy the meat in bulk 3 times a year and veges and fruit come from the much cheaper vege shops or the garden . If there was ham, I'd cut into ham steak and freeze them . Or sliced ham left, I'd make something with it, quiche type thing or something . It's how you use stuff that determines if there are leftovers or not . |
