they go well with dark color jeans.

1182974 2011-03-06 08:14:00 Im not actually going to run in these shoes, i just walk a lot. Question (15792)
1182975 2011-03-06 08:48:00 Go to Rebel Sport and see what prices they have.
I don't think Shoe Clinic would be that much more ...

NZ's shoes do tend to cost up to $260/280 ...
When they have sales you could save half price.

Uhhh so why does it cost less to buy the same shoes from overseas and ship them across the country to here, than it is to buy them from a store?

Weren't there any $150 shoes that was fit for walking?

Running shoes might not be that great when it gets wet in Winter

Dunno why they are more in NZ. You could argue with most things here. Personally I doubt the difference should be that much, althou they do have less competition and they buy less bulk.

1182977 2011-03-06 19:05:00 I think there is a difference between walking and running shoes. You should tell the sales assistant that you need walking shoes. Bobh (5192)
1182978 2011-03-06 19:16:00 Everything imported in New Zealand is dearer than overseas.

It costs a lot to get the stuff here and we have a small market so don't buy in such bulk and our distribution cost throughout New Zealand is expensive.

1182979 2011-03-06 19:20:00 I suppose if you want runnign shoes it woudl pay to go to a specialist sop.

Me I just need to buy some nice comfortable walking shoes for use at work on concrete, so I always wait till I see them special somewhere, and get them for about $75.00.

I remember years ago when we have those sandshoes and plimpsoles.
They were as thin and as weak as.

I saw a movie late at night about the guys that invented the Nike running shoes, but I fell asleep. It looked quite interesting.

I did, but as it turns out none of the walking shoes in the store would fit me(too narrow at the front)The ASICS i bought turned out to have 4E width, and its kind of loose at the back(but fits the front fine).

You should be able to get heel inserts to reduce movement and chafing (of the heels!)...

Distribution costs is a load of bunk, You can order in a single item and get it delivered to your door for much less then the price difference.

The delivery cost per item is much much less for those importing the items in bulk.

Someone is rorting.
