2011-03-01 09:57:00 | That was the biggest shake here in my 14 or so years in Wellington. So really hoping it wasn't in Christchurch because it sure shook this place. You've missed at least one @ 4.8 originating from the same location on 11/10/2009

2011-03-01 10:14:00 | Dear Wellington, You guys don't know what an earthquake is. Cheers, Chch. On another note, that aftershock we had tonight was pretty decent, long bugger too.

2011-03-01 10:18:00 | Yes I wasn't thinking. Fixed that for you. What scale do you use?

2011-03-01 10:25:00 | Yep, felt that 4.6 here in chch, hope welly's ok with the 4.5. What am I saying! Anything under 5 is usually not too bad. In terms of shaking alone, the 7.1 was the worst (here in Dunsandel at least) - I was waiting for the roof to cave in when it happened.

So what scale is used to measure earthquakes as opposed to IQ then? And also why comment on my IQ which has nothing to do with the Richter scale? More herrings. |

2011-03-01 10:57:00 | The MM scale? That scale is used for earthquakes at times. But in no way is it used to measure IQ.
