Really? Sorry, new to this and didn't realise letting people know of a helpfull service directly related to this thread was Banned and considered spam...?

Why did you join other than to drum up business ?

1183007 2011-03-12 03:48:00 Did you not read the rules before signing up?

Shame on you, offering a 'professional' service, without reading the fine print.

Doesn't bode well for your own customer service...

I refer you to rule No 8.

1183009 2011-03-12 04:01:00 Yip, OK.... Where do I find the rules. Can you please post a URL to rule number 8. Ta. FineAntiques (16126)
1183010 2011-03-12 04:15:00 Yip, OK.... Where do I find the rules. Can you please post a URL to rule number 8. Ta.Ignorance is no excuse - you were presented with the rules when you signed up. You even ticked the box just below the rules that was labelled "I have read, and agree to abide by the PC World Forums rules".

If you can't remember them, or didn't bother taking the time to read them, you can find the rules in this thread (pressf1.co.nz), which is stickied at the top of both forums.

Nobody minds people being helpful, but when you sign up purely to promote your own business, that's generally regarded as spamming, and usually results in an immediate, permanent ban.

Here:

8) No commercial posting, spamming, or otherwise using the forum to promote products and services purely for your own gain. This doesn't stop you recommending products and services to other users, nor does it stop a vendor discussing their products in relation to a post. But users who post purely to promote their business/website may find their threads deleted along with their user ID.

1183012 2011-03-12 04:26:00 Come on, who reads the rules at sign up --- really???

I understand your point of view and apologies if it offended you or any others. I take from the rules there is lee way to provide such comments as I did in my first post. I imagine everyone has some motivation for joining such a community and my first comment is helpful to people in these circumstances.

Relax, there is already been too much shaking and hassle down this way... Give me time and I will comment on many other threads.

1183013 2011-03-12 04:39:00 So then you did not read the rules I take it? Snorkbox (15764)
1183014 2011-03-12 04:49:00 Only glanced over them, didn't really pay a lot of attention. If my post is felt to be spam then please remove. There was never any intention to offend you guys, merely to let people know of our helpful service. Much of it is done for free any way.

I have worked in the IT field professionally for over 20 years and should have known this kind of reaction would occur - silly me. I accept so many conditions, if I read them all fully I would get nothing done. - don't comment on signing contracts etc, that would just be silly.

Take the offer as intended or remove it - its your communities choice. Will leave it to the administrator to determine.

Take care,

Really? Sorry, new to this and didn't realise letting people know of a helpfull service directly related to this thread was Banned and considered spam . . . ?You are not permitted to advertise your business and posting purely to promote your business on this forum .

As mentioned, it is in the rules that you agreed to . If the thread topic was about your specific company (not line of business), then you are allowed to comment about your service .

I have removed your advert, but have not banned you . I trust you are now familiar with our forum rules .
