Yes they can . . . just .

There is a full complement of emergency services available across New Zealand that have not been drafted into Christchurch maintaining a normal level of service .

There is nothing like the frustration of having the skills and not being allowed to go and help! But understandable given that we have been needed twice in the last week for incidents in our local area alone .

In fact we are actually in a better position to deal with it although our economy would be FUBAR .
