| 1215380 | 2011-07-07 05:48:00 | This is probably a dumb question but how the heck do you transfer songs to the iPod device please? My friend inserted a CD into the drive on the computer with iTunes open and the songs were immediately copied into a Playlist (called "recently added" or similar) but we cannot work out how to get them to the iPod itself.... We were concerned if we used Sync (which seems a possibility) that she would lose the songs already on the iPod but which weren't in her Library... some of these were put onto her iPod by a special friend who has since died, so she does not want to risk losing them. You have to go into Itunes options and tick what you want it to sync (songs, videos, podcasts, contacts). Depending on what your Ipod supports | Speedy Gonzales (78) | ||

You will need to download sharepod, and get the music from the ipod using that. From there you would import the sharepod music to itunes and sync the ipod from there. |

If it has not been synced with another computer, the songs will not be deleted . As Alex said, you need to download sharepod or similar app to get the songs off the iPod . :pf1mobmini: |
