1214414 2011-07-03 11:07:00 Anybody use software to create a plan of buildings on some land. I have copied and pasted a plan using google maps, but now want to covert that picture into a plan drawing.

Doesn't need to be anything fancy have tried using publisher but some of the buildings are an odd shape. I was thinking draw a overlay of the buildings then delete the picture leaving the plan of the buildings. TIA Wayne

1214415 2011-07-03 19:59:00 AutoCAD would do it, but is very expensive. I suggest ask around friends and acquaintances to see who has a copy and may assist. Mike S (1766)
1214416 2011-07-03 20:54:00 For something free maybe try DIA it's a bit of a copy of MS Visio, it can do building's, wiring etc gary67 (56)

1214423 2011-07-06 05:55:00 In the 1980's I used Imagineer Technical, which I understand was renamed to Smart sketch. Last time I enquired it was about $1200. Unfortunately my Imagineer ver 1.0 worked in Win98, NOT winXP. It was good though. Brucem (8688)
