1184442 2011-03-09 00:08:00 Personally, I think this is down to incompetence of the call centre, lets face it, they are just plebs, and probably a 3rd party anyway. HP have nothing to gain by pissing you off, the fact you are getting more correspondence and refund offer confirms the matters is now with HP and NOT the call centre!
And lets face it PCT, you are quite abrasive!

Agree, and the call centre is probably not associated with the company, they just handle support. At least HP are now handling it right and have put forward an acceptable resultion.

1184443 2011-03-09 02:51:00 I've been out all day.
HP rang again and left a message (the 2nd time they rang) said they will get the shop I bought it from to refund me and they will refund her.

Since then I have had another 6 calls and 1 email from them.
I have answered none of the calls and just responded to the email saying I have rung the shop and left a message for her to ring me about that.

Harrassment? It sure isn't the call centre now. And as for them - they continued to ring me even after I had spoke to 2 different managers about the thing.

It's only since the imminent Disputes case next week I've been offered anything. Well, modified yet again. Yet to be confirmed by the shop also.

Abrasive Solmeister? I persisted politely for a month with these twats. Sooner or later you have to loose patience.

1184447 2011-03-09 06:12:00 Yeah but then when you want it fixed don't you have to send it back to Malaysia too? Agent_24 (57)
1184448 2011-03-09 07:07:00 One at home been going since 2006, keyboard died they just couriered another one out.
If it dies tomorrow I would be happy with its service and buy another Dell.
When you order from Dell you can pick and mix I got a floppy drive, larger monitor than normal.
It came in a bunch of boxes and I put it together and it worked out of the box.

1184449 2011-03-09 07:23:00 Yeah I do like their customization features.. but for even better customization I prefer to build them myself.

I think Toshiba and maybe HP also allow some customization of the parts too, now.

It wasn't a toaster shop.
And you can't custom build your own printer.
