I guess that what has to be paid to record two channels at once and onto blu ray disks.

I thought that the Freeview certified ones had this feature crippled..

1184767 2011-03-09 19:40:00 I've been assuming that Blu-Ray palyers/recorders are backward-compatible - i.e. you can also record/play CD and DVD on them - true? Tony (4941)
1184768 2011-03-09 21:19:00 Just had a response from Panasonic support and they say they are all the same product. Tony (4941)

1184770 2011-03-10 00:03:00 I own the "850" model which was pre Freeview.

I only have a guide that looks ahead 3 or 4 hours at the most and doesn't have anything like the series linking ...but I wouldn't swap it for worlds!!

You see, I can edit HD TV... I can go into "Partial delete" after the program is recorded and take out the bit extra I always record to ensure I get the whole lot and also remove the ads. Then dump it all on to Blu-ray disks which I buy through Amazon in the USA.

1184771 2011-03-10 00:04:00 Often it indicates minor differences - be it colour, or firmware version. Maybe one has a different brand supplier for the 500GB HDD, who knows. Ultimately they're probably all the same base model with same features & functionality. inphinity (7274)
