1184410 2011-03-08 10:00:00 using a 32 bit OS in todays world is like buying a car that can only use 10% of the fuel tank capacity before needing refuelling. You have all the extra but it just dot give a Sh*t

dunno about that for avg joe and jane it gets you from A to B.

1184414 2011-03-09 05:55:00 Sorry, I was still a lil messed up when I said that :D

I guess what I was trying to say is that, some time in the future, 32 bits won't be large enough... or something...

1184415 2011-03-09 06:19:00 We're well past that stage. I was running a pure 64-bit OS with 4GB of RAM close to 10 years ago now. Chilling_Silence (9)
1184416 2011-03-09 06:31:00 The main reason for a 64 bit OS is to keep a count of the bugs. 32 bit won't hack it. R2x1 (4628)
1184417 2011-03-09 09:33:00 AMD just released a GPU with 4Gb of RAM...LOL, can you imagine putting that in a x86 system? SolMiester (139)
1184418 2011-03-09 09:36:00 A GPU, so that makes it VRAM dunnit? So only the GPU can address and access it... ubergeek85 (131)

Yes, however memory still needs addressing, so no good for x86...
