Sure its repackaged to attract the kids and the social network sheep, But Im still thinking it will be pretty damn sweet.

In fact I was in some crappy yellow electronic store just a couple days back looking at a copy of AOE3 and wishing that they just modernised AOE2/The Conquerers instead.

Its still the only game I install on all my PC's, and it goes on as soon as the drivers are installed.

Hell, I even have it on my work PC, and if they knew they'd tan my hide. I don't even play it at work, I just feel better knowing its there.

1184020 2011-03-07 01:15:00 I have all AOE's except The AOE3 expansions. 1 and 2 with their expansions are on one DVD Collectors edition, and AOE3 is still in its original box, as i haven't really played it. I much prefer the original AOE.

It's basically the only game i Must Install. But im yet to put it on my Windows 7 Operating system as i am unsure of the compatibility.

1184021 2011-03-07 01:27:00 HANGING for it!! :D

We still crank conquerors, 5-6 of us semi-regularly, all from our own homes. It's the reason why I setup KiwiLAN.

We only do Conquerors.

BTW - Goodiesguy, it runs fine, but if your colors are wonky in-game, simply Alt + Tab, bring up Task Manager, kill explorer.exe, then Alt + Tab back to Age of Empires. Don't close Task Manager or you won't have an easy way of restarting explorer.exe after the game ends.

1184022 2011-03-07 01:36:00 Going by the art style on the background graphics I suspect this will be just as horrible as Battlefield Heroes.

That game does NO justice to Battlefield 1942!

100% compatible no matter what m$ tries to tell you.

That's what I need to install again, that and the original far cry. 2 of the best games ever made

Have you played Battlefield1943? I had the unfortunate experience of buying it for my PS3...

1184027 2011-03-08 01:09:00 Any fps played on a console is an unfortunate experience.:annoyed:

That aside, If AOE Online carries over the game play which made the original game so good then I'll live with the kiddie graphics.

Hopefully my sons like the game as well and we can set up some three way battles.

No, I saw it came out on console, didn't care, think the PC release date was later and forgot about it.

Is it out on PC yet?
