1216240 2011-07-11 23:36:00 dont know if its the provider (vodafone) coz my buddys iphone works perfectly i also tried the sim in another phone and it works does anyone know if jailbreaking is playing a part in this? headshot (16454)
1216241 2011-07-11 23:49:00 What model iPhone is yours, and your mates? Coz the Vodafone network wasn't 'properly' supported until the iPhone4, so if you have a 3GS and your mate has an iPhone4, then that could also have an influence.

Roughly, where were you, and what exact model iPhone do you have? What iOS version are you running ?

1216242 2011-07-12 00:06:00 It could be the jailbreak.
I did a jailbreak on my old 3GS and it had the same issue.
I had to reset and redo the jailbreak again and that fixed it.

1216244 2011-07-12 00:53:00 It's the first thing that Vodafone / whoever are likely to try ... So you might as well! :) Chilling_Silence (9)

He might have heaps of jailbroken tweaks/themes...etc which will be deleted when restores.
