1216099 2011-07-11 07:31:00 Okay so while on the pc today my ipod wasnt detected so I rebooted and it said something about check video cable. so it was all secured and everything so I turned pc off and back on and now it just tries to start up and turns right back off and it does this over and over and over.... I have Abit ip35 pro mobo and it's like 1.u or u.1 error code...

Thoughts appreciated.

Thanks :)

1216100 2011-07-11 07:49:00 Does it show the errors in the manual?? If it doesnt, I would send Abit an email Speedy Gonzales (78)
1216101 2011-07-11 07:54:00 Try this first, start the PC, keep tapping F8 - when the screen appears with various options, using the arrow keys scroll down and select Lats known Good Configuration - if that doesn't work, try again, this time select safe mode - if that doesn't work then again, and select "Disable auto restart ------", then reboot the PC, you should get a BSOD on next reboot, what is the error code and under the wording -- a problem has been detected ---- it will give some indication as to whats failed. wainuitech (129)
1216102 2011-07-11 08:08:00 Can you get into the BIOS? Is it a POST error, or is Windows throwing the error? inphinity (7274)
1216103 2011-07-11 09:08:00 I should have made my first post more clear sorry. It wont even post, screen shows nothing. It just starts up and goes right off and repeats, fans lights etc comes on. There's no beep either strangely, but the error light doesn't say FF like it does when it starts up normally. When I get home I'll try and look up the code. Norseguy (12873)
1216104 2011-07-11 10:32:00 Seems like mobo caps are dead.

1216105 2011-07-11 10:36:00 If these are the codes, I dont think 1u or u1 are one of them

1216106 2011-07-15 02:53:00 Okay it should either be saying:

10 Auto detect flash type to load appropriate flash R/W codes into the run time area in F000 for
ESCD & DMI support

or 01 which is:

01 Expand the Xgroup codes locating in physical address 1000:0

I dont know what any of that means. lol.

1216107 2011-07-15 03:00:00 So what is the error code youre seeing, since it loops?

I would get the manual / or read it. See exactly what it means

I would open the case, and see if any of the caps looked stuffed
